The corner of Mallorca where Cristiano Ronaldo chose to spend his summer vacation

The island of Mallorca not only attracts tourists from all over the world for its paradisiacal beaches, picturesque villages and lively atmosphere, the largest of the Balearic Islands is also the destination chosen by many celebrities to spend a luxury holiday. Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Douglas , Michelle Obama, Brad Pitt, Claudia Schiffer, Bruce Springsteen, Kendall and Kylie Jenner ... are just a few examples of the long list of celebrities who have spent their summers at some point (most of them, more than once) on the island.

This year, Mallorca welcomed another returning visitor: Cristiano Ronaldo . The footballer has once again chosen Mallorca for his summer vacation and has been seen enjoying himself on his yacht, the Azimut Grande 27 Metri, in the Illetes and Port d'Andratx areas in the west of the island.

Illetes and its beautiful beaches

Located in the municipality of Calvià , very close to Palma city center (less than half an hour by car), the Illetes area stands out for its beautiful coastal scenery, its beaches with turquoise waters , and its many hotels and beach clubs . The main beach is Illetes Beach , with fine white sand and clear waters. It also has all the necessary services, such as lifeguards, showers, sun loungers, umbrellas, and access walkways. Being in an urbanized area, the surrounding area also offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops .

Other beaches in the area include Cala Xinxell , with golden sand and pebbles and crystal-clear waters; Cala Comtessa , surrounded by pine trees and low rocks, with the s'illot de sa Caleta directly opposite; and Cala Clavijo , which is much smaller and more secluded.

Always lively atmosphere in Port d'Andratx

Port d'Andratx, in the municipality of Andratx , is one of Mallorca's most spectacular natural harbors. What was once a small fishing village is now a popular spot on the island, a modern town with a wealth of nautical activities and a wide range of hotels of all levels.

Here we can walk along its lively promenade , practice water sports, buy fresh fish at the fish market, try the local cuisine in its restaurants with seafront terraces and, of course, enjoy a swim at one of its nearby beaches, such as the beautiful Cala d'Egos .
