The hotel, which dates back to 1146 and opened in 2012 after a complete restoration, is located on a 700-hectare estate in the heart of the Duero wine region, just a few kilometers from the legendary Vega Sicilia. This area also houses the Abadía Retuerta winery , which combines ancient winemaking traditions with the latest technology and various sustainability criteria.

Its facilities include nearly 30 luxurious rooms and the Santuario Wellness & SPA. It opened in 2015 and is located in the former underground stables , although it has several entrances that ensure 80% natural light. One of its main features is that it occupies over 1,000 square meters and its water is drawn from a well located 120 meters deep.

The Spa Suite features a full dressing room, sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, experience showers, and a relaxation area with incredible views of the interior garden.
