AUCTION - RM Sotheby's is selling all three body variants of the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona online.

All three Daytonas have a sterling pedigree. The road-going berlinetta has covered just 2,000 miles since leaving the factory in 1972. Purchased new by Los Angeles-area broadcasting executive and car collector Willet H. Brown, this example is arguably one of the most original in circulation. Acquired by the current owner from Brown's estate in 1995, this Daytona is in remarkably well-preserved condition.
The spyder version of the Daytona, meanwhile, is the 110th example produced in the 121-vehicle series. Delivered new to Southern California in 1973, this vehicle has remained for nearly 40 years in one of the world's most important Ferrari collections. Like the berlinetta, it has traveled fewer than 2,000 miles since leaving the factory. This spyder is estimated at between $2 million and $2.5 million.
The first Daytona Competizione of the third series
As for the 365 GTB/4 Daytona Competizione, it is chassis number 16343 from 1973. This vehicle is the first of five third series Daytona competition cars built by Ferrari. Delivered new to Luigi Chinetti's American NART (North American Racing Team), this berlinetta participated in the 1974 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and three times in the 24 Hours of Daytona, in 1973, 1975 and 1981. For its competition debut at Daytona, it was entrusted to the Frenchmen Jean-Claude Andruet and Claude Ballot-Lena who would later retire. It was in 1975 that the berlinetta achieved its best result with a 7th place overall and first place in the class for John Woodner and Fred Phillips. Eligible for events such as the Le Mans Classic, the ex-NART Group 4 Daytona is estimated at between $5.5 million and $7.5 million.
