Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot: A rich program for the last two weeks of August

The town will be alive with numerous festivities during the last two weeks of August, with events for all tastes.
The last two weeks of August will be a festive time in the town. Here's a look at the events taking place in the town center and surrounding areas. From August 15th to 17th, the Reception Center for French Repatriates from Indochina (CAFI) will be celebrating. The program includes films, theater, debates, and tributes, as well as festive evenings with meals and dragon dancing.
From cinema to the votive festivalThe Livradais cinema l'Utopie continues to offer meetings and screenings, notably with the broadcast of "Timioche" on August 17 at 10:30 a.m., preceded by a reading of tales about the seabed, for young audiences, from 3 years old.
Also on August 17, the Grand Villeneuvois Lyric Festival, A Night at the Opera, will conclude in Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot at 8:30 p.m. For this closing evening, Place Castelvielh will host a performance featuring songs by Mozart, Rossini, Verdi and Bizet.
As part of the open-air cinema sessions, on Place Castelvielh, on August 19, the free screening of the film "Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning" will be held. Then, while waiting for the reopening of the Micro Folie on September 1 , Livradais will be able to discover "Les Yeux de Mona" (The Eyes of Mona) at the Porte Campagne block. This tour of the digital museum in ten masterpieces is available by reservation, for ages 15 and up.
The Firefighters' Ball will return on August 22nd, starting at 7 p.m., on the Saint-Martin esplanade. The program includes music by Batuc'Fanfar, a DJ, refreshments, and food. Admission is free.
A new chess discovery course is being organized on August 28. Led by the Foulayronnes Chess Club, it will take place from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Porte Campagne block. It's an opportunity for beginners or those looking to improve their skills.

Finally, the votive festival will return from August 29th to 31st. The city center will be buzzing with activity, including a cycle race, a funfair, refreshments, and food. The festivities will continue with entertainment and a closing evening, including a fireworks display on August 31st, with a dinner cruise.
