Justin Bieber's incredible vacation to Jumby Bay Island, off the coast of Antigua

Justin Bieber's incredible vacation to Jumby Bay Island, off the coast of Antigua

Located just three kilometers off the coast of Antigua in the Caribbean, Jumby Bay Island is a secret paradise for many stars, accessible only by boat and reserved exclusively for its prestigious clientele, leaving the paparazzi behind. Regulars include the famous Canadian singer, Justin Bieber.

With its pristine beaches and luxurious residences, it's no wonder several stars have chosen to acquire a second home on Jumby Bay Island, also known as Long Island.

Among the elite who have frequented the island are Paul McCartney, Elton John, Prince Harry, Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, Robert de Niro, Eddie Murphy, Eric Clapton, Peter Gabriel, Ken Follett, and, of course, Justin Bieber. Apparently, there are several others whose names are preserved. While properties on this exclusive island are extremely rare, there are a few villas available for rent.

In fact, the island, which has about fifty residences, belongs to the owners of the villas. Thus, by purchasing a residence, you become a co-owner of an extraordinary private island.

Moreover, some of the villas at Jumby Bay are said to be among the most beautiful in the Caribbean.

It is usually reached by catamaran or private yacht from Antigua, a crossing of only 10 minutes.

Justin Bieber has apparently fallen for Jumby Bay on more than one occasion, a favorite spot for enjoying the pleasures of the sea. While the famous 31-year-old singer-songwriter has gone there in the past with friends to party, more recently, he chose to go there with his wife, Hailey Baldwin, and his son, Jack Blues Bieber, and it is at the Delphis villa that he dropped off his suitcases.

A true postcard setting, this luxurious villa would make almost anyone's mouth water.

In addition to the luxury of this secluded home, which boasts five bedrooms, an impressive infinity pool, large terraces, all in a refined style, it is perfectly located on the Henzel Point peninsula.

In fact, Delphis is considered the most private villa on Jumby Bay Island. Surrounded by the Caribbean Sea on three sides and offering breathtaking views of both sunrise and sunset, the property offers extraordinary panoramas that will be treasured as memories. But it's the exceptional privacy it offers that appeals to the stars.

The on-site staff offers fine cuisine tailored to the tastes of their guests. For a little more adrenaline, head out for water skiing, windsurfing, or a catamaran ride. Diving is also available nearby.

But all this comes at a price, and you have to pay several tens of thousands of dollars per night to stay there, depending on the season.

Antigua is brimming with beauty to discover, from small, steep coves to spectacular cliffs and pristine beaches. Antiguans boast more than 365 of them.

A beach a day, including weekends. Not bad for a small island that can be toured in less than four hours by car. While some are lined with hotels, it's also possible to explore almost deserted beaches bordered by coconut groves. Others are dotted with coral reefs, ideal for diving.

Among the must-sees is Cactus Hill, a verdant mountain overlooking Carlisle Bay. The view is breathtaking.

Nelson Dockyard is undoubtedly the main attraction not to be missed, a magnificent site where waves crash against high coral reefs. Located in English Harbour, in the far southern part of the island, it is a very interesting historical site. At the time, this naval base was built by the British to protect themselves against the Spanish and the French. It was the famous Admiral Nelson who had Fort Nelson Dockyard built in 1784. The building has been reconstructed and now houses restaurants and souvenir shops.

Between the bays of Falmouth Harbour and English Harbour lies an impressive array of sailboats. A most refined landscape, popular with celebrities.

The capital, Saint John's, is also worth a visit. The small colonial town is pretty and inviting, with its houses painted in pastel colors ranging from green to blue to yellow. Its public market offers a complete change of scenery. For good deals, go there on Saturdays, a lively place. Otherwise, the Saint John's Cathedral, the rum distillery, the Antigua Museum, and the Botanical Gardens are among the other places in Antigua to discover.
