JetSmart Airlines announced that, starting today, it is launching its new route, which will directly connect Bogotá with the archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia, and Santa Catalina, with a daily, direct flight.

To mark the launch, the airline will offer a promotional fare starting at 222,600 Colombian pesos one way , taxes and fees included, available between June 18 and 19 until 10:00 a.m. Later, and until the end of the 19th, travelers will be able to access prices starting at 292,600 Colombian pesos one way.
The operation will begin on October 15th with a daily service, significantly expanding connectivity options to one of the most popular destinations in the Colombian Caribbean.
This new route will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, with capacity for 186 passengers per trip, representing an additional 2,604 weekly seats between the capital and the island.

In total, adding the existing frequencies from Medellín (12 weekly flights) and Cali (4 weekly flights), JetSmart will offer an average of 7,812 weekly seats to San Andrés, consolidating its position as a key player in air connectivity with the archipelago.
"We expect this route to register high demand, with an occupancy rate of over 85 percent, which would allow us to increase capacity in the short term . We connect three of the country's main cities with the island, facilitating access for more travelers and complementing the current operation with a more robust offering," said Carolina Ruiz, Commercial Manager of JetSmart in Colombia.
Connection to Tibú
Satena is operating a new route to Tibú, Norte de Santander. This flight is already part of a regional circuit linking Ocaña, Cúcuta, and Tibú, with three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays , facilitating mobility in a key area of ​​northeastern Colombia.

The routes are operated with B-1900 aircraft, ideal for short distances and adapted to unpaved runways or intermediate infrastructure , ensuring efficiency, regularity and safety on every flight.
"Satena's arrival in Tibú not only represents a new air route, but also a concrete opportunity to strengthen institutional, social, and economic ties in a key region of the country. This type of operation reflects our commitment to an aviation industry that transforms realities from the ground up ," says Major General Óscar Zuluaga Castaño, president of Satena.
Flights are operated with the following schedule:
  • Ocaña – Cúcuta: 9:00 am
  • Cúcuta – Tibú: 10:00 am
  • Tibú – Cúcuta: 11:00 am
  • Cúcuta – Ocaña: 11:55 am
Located in the Catatumbo River Valley, Tibú is one of the largest and most populated municipalities in Norte de Santander , with nearly 60,000 inhabitants.
