The suspect who stabbed his stepson in Kocaeli was arrested.
A domestic violence incident in the Kartepe district of Kocaeli escalated into tragedy. YG, who stabbed his stepson after an argument, was taken into custody by police at the scene. Ferhat B., who was seriously injured, is receiving treatment in the hospital, and the suspect was arrested by a court and sent to prison.
The incident occurred in the garden of a single-story house on Araklı Street in the Sarımeşe neighborhood of the Kartepe district on Thursday evening, July 10. According to reports, an argument broke out between YG and his 35-year-old stepson, Ferhat B., for an as yet unknown reason. The incident quickly escalated into a fight, in which YG stabbed his stepson in the chest.
After bystanders reported the situationto the 112 Emergency Call Center, medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Ferhat B. received first aid at the scene and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. His condition remains critical.
YG, who was detained at the scene, was referred to the courthouse after processing at the police station. The suspect was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
