Durmuş Canbaz , who has partial vision loss, sat on a bench by the roadside with his friends and started listening to music on his recently purchased mobile phone. At this time, a person approached the group of elderly friends, took the mobile phone from Canbaz's hand and ran away from the area. Canbaz, who initially thought it was a joke because he could not see well, waited for a while and realized that his phone had been stolen when no one returned it.

Upon Canbaz's complaint, the police team came to the scene. Durmuş Canbaz, who described the incident he experienced, said , "We were passing the time here with our friends, playing on the phone. Then I turned on music. Someone took the phone from my hand. I felt them running forward. I thought they were joking. I thought they were going to bring it back."
Police are reviewing security camera footage from the area to identify the suspect in the theft, which is described as a pickpocketing incident. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
