Roach killer is the best winter float rig for effective fishing

Today I want to share my proven winter roach fishing rig, which has helped me out on the ice more than once. This float rig is highly sensitive due to the drop-off leash, allowing you to accurately detect even the most cautious bites.
Let's take a look at the installation diagram and put everything in its place.
I use a monofilament with a diameter of 0.12 mm. The length is selected with a reserve: the maximum depth of the reservoir + 5 meters, so that it is possible to retie the tackle if it breaks.
We put a silicone cambric (or nipple rubber) on the tip of the rod. But silicone is better - it does not harden in the cold and does not lose elasticity.
We pass the fishing line through the cambric and install the float, securing it with a stopper.
We tie a knot at the end of the fishing line and install the main pellet weighing 1.5 g.
We step back 25 cm from the subshepherd and tie a branch. This is a key element that increases the sensitivity of the equipment.
For reliable hooking I use Owner hooks №14-16 . They are ideal for roach, allowing you to confidently hook even a cautious fish.
- Maximum sensitivity – detects even the most cautious bite.
- Minimal line twisting is achieved through the use of a guide and correct distribution of weights.
- Versatility – suitable for both still and flowing water.
- Easy to assemble – you can do this installation in a couple of minutes while fishing.
This float rig has been proving its effectiveness in winter fishing for years, allowing you to consistently catch roach even during the most capricious periods of biting.
Try it, share your experience and may your fishing always be successful! 🎣🔥
