A predatory cat was walking through a forest in Poland. New facts about Simba.

On the night of September 13th to 14th, a savannah serval escaped from a private property in a town west of Stopnica (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship). On Monday, a report of the missing savannah serval was received by the District Police Headquarters in Busko-Zdrój.
"The savannah serval is a wild animal, quite large and gentle, but it's unknown how it might behave if, for example, it's frightened or hungry. It's an animal that normally occurs in Africa. If you spot this animal, you should be very careful and not approach it," the police reported.
A wild cat could have been a threat. It all ended happily.People were also warned against any attempts to catch the wild animal themselves. This could pose a threat to health or life. "Savannah serval – found. The owner informed us by phone that she found the missing savannah serval this morning. We thank everyone who shared the post for their help," the District Police Headquarters in Busko-Zdrój confirmed on Sunday.
As reported by "Fakt," an exotic cat named Simba escaped from a house through a cracked roof window. After wandering and running through the village meadows for several days, the savannah serval returned home safely. Its owner spotted it near the property. The feral cat is a year old and was purchased from a legal breeder. The savannah serval's owner was in the process of reporting the cat to the District Office.
The savannah serval had been running around the meadows for several days. The owner spotted it near the property. The woman had two weeks to do so and complied with the deadline. Despite this, the police will continue to investigate whether she took all necessary precautions while keeping the predatory cat. For now, the investigation is being conducted in the case, not against her," explained Staff Sergeant Tomasz Piwowarski of the Busko-Zdrój police.
During the search, police also emphasized that "the savannah serval seen in the forests near Głogów in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship is a different individual than the one that escaped from the property near Stopnica." Visitors to the Gola-Leśna Dolina area were especially urged to be vigilant. Interestingly, the Głogów Forest District emphasized on Saturday that the predatory cat "has been captured and is now safe with its owners."
