This is what Codacons says, which every year provides data on the price lists of beach establishments and the ranking of the most expensive beaches on the Peninsula.

Differences in the territory

Generally speaking, to rent a beach umbrella and two sun loungers during the weekend in a standard establishment, the average cost remains substantially stable compared to 2024, and stands at between 32 and 35 euros per day, with strong differences across the territory: in Sabaudia you need up to 45 euros, which reach 90 euros in Gallipoli and touch 120 euros in some locations in Sardinia . Some operators have left the price lists unchanged compared to last year, others have made small adjustments up to a maximum of +5%, while many have revised upwards the prices of drinks and accessory services (drinks, ice cream, snacks, pedal boat rental, kayak, etc.)

However, if you move to the "luxury" beaches, the cost for bathers changes radically and can reach 1,500 euros per day: this is the case of the very famous Twiga in Versilia, recently changed hands , from Flavio Briatore to Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, if you choose the "imperial tent" (which in all fairness can accommodate up to 10 people, specifies Codacons), equipped with 4 beds, 4 sun loungers, 4 deckchairs, 3 chairs and 1 table. If you opt for a normal tent, the cost stops at 600 euros: included in the price are 2 beds, 2 sun loungers, 2 deckchairs and a table.

The Twiga and other luxury establishments

At the Augustus Hotel in Forte dei Marmi the cost for a spot in front of the sea in August is 560 euros per day, and includes 2 single sunbeds, one double bed, 2 deckchairs, towels and a safe.

At Nikki Beach Costa Smeralda in Sardinia , the "Beach Bed + Sofa" formula (double beach loungers with a two-seater sofa and a beach umbrella) costs 550 euros per day, and includes a 230 euro credit to use on the menu (but with reduced bottle service); 450 euros for a beach cabana, 400 euros for two loungers and a beach umbrella, all with 230 euro credit included.

For a day at the beach of the prestigious Hotel Excelsior on the Lido of Venice, the cost for a front row hut is 515 euros (with 2 deckchairs, a sunbed with mattress, a table with seats and other benefits), while the price lists of the Cinque Vele Beach Club in Pescoluse (Le) are going down: those who book today for August in the "exclusive" area spend 470 euros by opting for the formula with the possibility of a refund if the booking is cancelled within 30 days of arrival.
