It is the secret village of the Balearics, its beaches are superb and the seaside still wild

This seaside resort is recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. It has managed to retain its authenticity.

Looking for the perfect place for a sunny getaway? Spain ticks a lot of boxes, and the Balearic Islands naturally rank high when it comes to making your choice. Sunshine, turquoise waters, wide beaches, and renowned hotel facilities... The Balearic Islands have little left to prove. The only downside is that some seaside resorts have lost their authenticity over the years and through construction.

One place on the main island, Mallorca, stands out, however. Welcome to Puerto Pollensa, a typical fishing village located on Mallorca's north coast. Regularly awarded for its tranquility and authenticity, Puerto Pollensa is the antithesis of the concrete seaside resorts sometimes found in the region.

Nature lovers will be delighted by the breathtaking scenery surrounding the village. The famous Cap Formentor, with its steep cliffs and dizzying viewpoints, is just a few kilometers away. Hikers can also venture onto the Boquer Valley Trail, which winds through the vegetation to a secluded cove that will delight swimmers and photographers alike.

The beaches of Puerto Pollensa are a true paradise for those who love to relax and swim. The main beach, Pollensa Beach, offers plenty of sun loungers and water activities for the more adventurous. For those seeking more tranquility, the narrower Albercutx Beach is perfect for families with its shallow waters and shaded areas. The famous, more touristy resort of Alcudia with its wide bay is also nearby. It is home to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, Playa de Muro, which has been listed in numerous rankings of the world's most beautiful beaches.

After swimming, you can also stroll through the cobbled streets of the town center. The traditional stone houses, with their colorful shutters and flower-filled balconies, add to the undeniable charm of Puerto Pollensa. The seafront promenade, lined with palm trees and small, typical restaurants, is finally the ideal place to enjoy a drink while admiring the sunset over the bay and end a beautiful day of vacation in the best possible way.
