A father and daughter create a temporary Tèrra Aventura trail in Sadillac
Out of around thirty applications, the "Zauci Sonsec" trail, namely that of Clément and Charlie Torralba, was selected by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Tourism Committee to open this summer. This temporary walk is open until Sunday, August 31
In front of the town hall of Sadillac (Dordogne), cars stream into the parking lot of the village of fewer than 200 inhabitants. Everyone comes for the same thing: the new temporary Tèrra Aventura trail. Thanks to an app created by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Tourism Committee, users can discover the local heritage through an original treasure hunt.
Armed with their phones, the "terr'adventurers" must answer riddles to advance in their quest. Correct answers reveal GPS coordinates, which guide them to the treasure. At the end of the journey, teams can collect "Poï'z" (emblematic characters from the universe) in the form of badges.

The app brings together nearly 900,000 teams and more than 600 routes, spread between Limousin and the Basque Country. Through a competition, the organization gives players the opportunity to write a new route and a new story on the map. These treasure hunts are temporary and last for one summer. Out of around thirty competing applications, the "Zauci Sonsec" team, otherwise known as Clément Torralba and his daughter Charlie, won.
Their tour "Turn, turn little mill; fly, fly, beautiful Zaméla" was chosen for its "very high quality of writing" and for "the care taken in the design of the sets", underlines the Regional Committee.
The 6.7 km walk, open until Sunday, August 31, allows you to "rediscover the wings that Zaméla lost," explains Charlie. To do this, you have to explore the forest, the vineyards, and also pass by the Citole windmill, a historic landmark of Sadillac. "We've been doing Tèrra Aventura for five years, and we wanted to create our own," explains Clément.

Sophie, one of the adventurers, has just returned from the walk with her family: "It's great, well done! The imagination is really cool," she says, congratulating the father and daughter. Her friend Alice, on vacation, also brought her children along for the adventure: "The stages flowed by at a good pace."

She adds: "The budget can quickly mount up with children, so it's really great to be able to do this. And congratulations on the painting." Throughout the course, the Torralba family made sure to include little characters to accompany the participants.
An effort appreciated by the "Tomyaur" team, originally from the north of the Dordogne: "It was full of colors, which is not often the case on other courses," says the mother. At stage number one of the treasure hunt, on the edge of the forest, Julie and Manu, who came from Niort with their children, discovered the enigma.

They're among those who plan their vacations around Tèrra Aventura. They have more than 140 trails to their name: "It was originally just to get the kids outside, but we quickly became addicted. We collect badges," Julie admits. Since the opening of the temporary trail in Sadillac, more than 600 people have tried the ride, Clément explains.
