Waymo Launches Business Travel Program for Its Self-Driving Cars

Waymo, Alphabet’s self-driving car subsidiary, launched Waymo for Business, which is designed to serve employee commuting, corporate events, and guest transport.
The offering, currently live in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix, provides companies with tools to set up mobility programs, manage riders, track budgets, and generate reports, all through a centralized business portal. Early pilot clients include Carvana and other unnamed organizations “across a range of industries,” a Waymo spokesperson told Skift.
Clients enable their employees to use Waymo as transport to meetings, and some provide a Waymo allowance as a perk, the spokesperson said. "Other examples include events for which groups want to pay for transportation. In those cases, we can generate custom codes for direct payment to the client," the spokesperson added.
