This scenic beach has been named one of the UK’s best, and it's perfect for a summer getaway. Hunstanton in Norfolk featured on Time Out’s list of the top 21 best seaside towns in the UK. With its combination of natural attractions, history, and activities, Hunstanton has something for everyone.

One of the town’s most striking features is its famous striped cliffs, with red and white chalk towers above the beach. These cliffs are visually impressive and a popular spot for fossil hunting.

One visitor on Tripadvisor said: “A walk along the beach under these amazing cliffs is not only an amazing walk but very good for your health as well. Round trip takes 50 minutes.

“However, you can also take a walk along the promenade - you will feel exactly like they felt 150 years ago when Hunstanton was opened up as a great holiday destination, whether for a week or just for the day.”

For those who enjoy walking, the Norfolk Coast Path begins in Hunstanton and stretches along the coast, offering panoramic views and opportunities to spot local wildlife.

The area also boasts a rich heritage, you can visit St Mary’s Church, known for its stained glass windows and historic architecture.

You may also want to visit the Old Hunstanton Lighthouse, built in 1840, a monument to the town’s maritime past.

Another popular spot to visit is Peddar’s Way which is an enjoyable and scenic coastal walking path.

A visitor on Tripadvisor said: “If you're looking to do a shorter long-distance walk this is a good one to start with as it's almost 100% on the flat! Stunning scenery.”

Another penned: “Long distance footpath in Norfolk linking to the Norfolk Coastal Path. Passes through interesting villages, with great views of the countryside.”

Whether you’re visiting for outdoor adventure, to explore cultural history, or just to see the coast, Hunstanton could be the ideal place to head to for a weekend away.
