The epic 42k-foot maze that's one of the world's longest and is slapped on a tower

The Al Rostamani Maze Tower is featured in the Guinness World Records for being home to the world's largest vertical maze. The incredible feature is situated on the front facade of the tower and has a huge surface area of a whopping 42,487.35 square feet. The Al Rostamani Maze tower is located along the Sheikh Zayed Road, in the luxurious city of Dubai.

Opened in January 2012, today the skyscraper is a multi-use building housing 25 office floors, a garden floor, 24 residential floor and a roof with a swimming pool. It is also home to the home office of Al Rostamani International Exchange, a UAE financial institution that provides currency exchange and money services.

Al Rostamani is behind the development of the building, which took seven years to construct.

The development group was founded in the early 1950s and today is one of the UAE's leading family business conglomerates with a focus on a range of diverse industries, including automotive, general trading, real estate and construction, solar energy, financial services, travel and tourism, and technology solutions.

Hassan Al Rostamani, Al Rostamani Group Project conceptualiser, said: "We always wanted the Maze to look like it was carved out of one massive piece of rock; with the constant place of light and shadow to render it 'alive'."

The tower offers various residential options including one bedroom apartments, two bedroom apartments, two types of duplex and penthouses available in four different layouts, two of which including their own pools.

It is also the ultimate work location. "The offices overlook the influential Dubai International Financial Centre with its dining and cultural facilities. Emirates Towers, Dubai World Trade Centre, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall are all within easy reach," the website notes.

Additionally, being located at "the very heart of Dubai", just 15 minutes away from the Dubai International Airport and close to the the Emirates Towers Metro Station, contributes to the tower being "perfectly position".
