Passengers get ‘VIP service’ after boarding flight – and realising they were the only people onboard

AIR WE GO
The pair thought it was a joke
TWO Southwest airline passengers received a ‘VIP’ flight after discovering they were the only travellers on their plane.
Two friends travelling from Utah to Arizona with Southwest Airlines unexpectedly had a the unusual experience after realising they were the only two passengers on the flight.
In a TikTok video, Natalie and her friend, Savannah, shared their experience flying from Salt Lake City International Airport to their hometown in Arizona.
The video starts with one of the friends stating: "Guess what? We have the whole plane to ourselves."
She continues to explain that a man informed them that it would be only the two of them on the flight, before one of the friends joked it was her bridal shower.
It was only after the pair realised how serious the man was, that they realised he was telling the truth.
Savannah added that the plane holds 173 people, but that "only two people have booked and that's us".
The man also explained to the girls that this never usually happens.
The pair then joked how they felt like "VIPs".
Natalie continued filming, adding: "I am so excited to get on the plane."
The friends can then be seen boarding an empty flight, where they are greeted by flight attendants.
The clip snaps to friend Savannah with rows upon rows of empty seats behind her, as Natalie states: "So we’re on our private jet!”
One of the flight attendants then make a special announcement, dedicated solely to Natalie and Savannah.
The flight attendant said: "Alright Savannah and Natalie, we have now reached 10,000 feet," as the two friends laughed.
"Savannah and Natalie, your safety will always be our number one priority, so don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any issues we can take care of. Welcome aboard Southwest Airlines," he added.
In the air, the two then enjoyed drinks and pastries they had bought prior to their flight.
Natalie said: "We’re about to have the biggest yap session of our life."
Savannah added: "No one could hear us."
"We’re going to be 10,000 feet in the air, yapping away. As long as we want on this plane," continued Natalie.
The video switches to the two friends sitting in the cockpit after the plane had landed, where a member of the flight crew reiterates that they were the only passengers on the flight.
The two friends felt like their "boujee" experience, was "so fun" with Natalie added it was "one of the greatest experiences of her life".
Speaking to ABC 4, Natalie commented: "I think the coolest part about the experience was just that personal connection that we were able to have with the crew members, with the team, with the pilot."
Since their 'VIP experience', the duo has been contacted by Southwest Airlines, with the company joking that Savannah and her fiancee will need a flight from the airline when the wedding happens.
The video has gained over 7.1million views on TikTok, with many viewers rushing to the comments.
One user commented: "HOW does that even happen. Was the flight not listed online???"
Another added: "As a flight attendant I can tell you that is a once in a lifetime experience!"
The official Southwest Airlines TikTok account also commented: "Savannah & Natalie welcome onboard."
