Expedia Shows Strength in B2B, Advertising and International, Ups 2025 Guidance

Expedia appears to be executing well on key priorities, and its B2B, international and advertising businesses are particular standouts.
Expedia Group increased its guidance for 2025, based on strong second quarter performance in its B2B business, advertising, and international growth.
The company's new guidance for 2025 is 3%-5% growth in gross bookings and revenue, up from 2%-4%. Expedia is looking for EBITDA margin expansion for the full year of 100 basis points, an increase from the previous 75 to 100 basis points. Its share price popped more than 15% in after-hours trading.Other travel companies that have reported results in recent weeks have noted weak demand in the U.S. and had to trim forecasts, including Marriott this week. Expedia also noted softness in the U.S. but was able to offset that weakness.
