When you think of wintery destinations, places like Copenhagen or Berlin might come to mind, but these places are often packed with tourists, making things overwhelming and stressful.
However, one destination which is often snubbed by tourists is Luxembourg - and there's so much to offer here. Despite being one of Europe's richest nations, Luxembourg remains remarkably under the tourist radar. According to the travel experts at cruise and tour operator Riviera Travel, Luxembourg was one of the European countries with the fewest tourists last year.
This landlocked, wealthy country has both ancient and modern elements, from historic fortresses to contemporary European institutions, making it the perfect place to spend a couple of days this autumn or winter. Here are 10 of the best things you can do when visiting Luxembourg.
