Momentum is a synthetic mid-layer garment from The North Face's Flight series, produced for performance purposes, made of TKA Stretch-flexible fabric. The jacket, which warms well when climbing on cold days, does not cause sweating and does not give a feeling of thickness, also provides good insulation under outer layers and since it is synthetic, does not retain moisture and stays dry. Average weight 590 grams. A quality and durable product for mountaineering and nature sports, and for use in winter environments.

Pros: A simple, inexpensive design. The flexible, movement-absorbing TKA fabric works extremely well. TKA is a synthetic, stretchy fabric that’s napped on one side and smooth on the other, and it feels great to the touch, and it also provides SPF 50 (many synthetic fabrics completely block out the sun’s harmful rays!). The Momentum is cut beautifully, fitting snugly and without sagging. The sleeves are long; the slits at the cuffs for thumbs are a nice touch. It has three zipped pockets; two side hand pockets and a Napoleon pocket on the chest.
