Record fine for driver who came to police station with flashing lights!
RT arrived at the Martyr Mehmet Kartal Police Station with the flashing lights of the minibus with license plate 37 ADD 452 that he was driving. Suspicious police teams investigated and determined that the flashing lights installed at the front of the minibus were illegal.
RT and the vehicle owner, who were also found to be unlicensed, were each fined 138,172 lira for "using unauthorized flashing lights" and 18,678 lira for driving without a driver's license.
RT claimed it was unaware that the vehicle it purchased two months ago had a flashing light system. The vehicle in question was banned from traffic for 30 days and towed to a parking lot.
