Interesting incident in Fatih! Motorcyclist attacked with a broom
While riding his motorcycle in the Mimar Hayrettin Neighborhood of Fatih, Ahmet S. hit Çağdaş İ., with whom he had previously had an argument for speeding, with a broom. The driver, Çağdaş İ., was thrown and fell to the ground. He returned with his motorcycle and punched Ahmet S.
After the parties filed complaints against each other, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into the incident. Ahmet S., who testified during the investigation, claimed that Çağdaş İ. had driven his motorcycle toward him and that he had acted in this way to protect himself.
Following the statement process, Ahmet S. and Çağdaş İ. were referred to the criminal judgeship of peace on duty with a request for the application of a judicial control measure in the form of "not leaving the residence " for the crime of "intentional wounding ".
The judgeship decided to impose a judicial control measure in the form of a "ban on leaving the country" on the two complainants-suspects.
As part of the investigation, it was learned that Çağdaş İ. had no criminal record, while Ahmet S. was sentenced to 15 years in prison for "premeditated murder" in a case he was tried in 2008. Furthermore, the incident was recorded by a security camera.
