A fuel tanker that overturned in Şanlıurfa burst into flames
According to reports, the incident took place in the Büyükalanlı area of the Şanlıurfa -Gaziantep Highway. A fuel tanker, whose driver and license plate are unknown, overturned after the driver allegedly lost control of the steering wheel. The overturned fuel tanker caught fire and began burning. Passing drivers alerted the scene and dispatched health and fire teams. The injured driver was removed from the vehicle and taken to Şanlıurfa Mehmet Akif İnan Training and Research Hospital by ambulance. The fire was brought under control by firefighters after two hours of work. Due to the risk of the tanker exploding, the highway was temporarily closed to traffic. A long queue of vehicles formed on the road, which was closed in one direction.
Investigation into the accident has been launched.
