'Brave' thief who filmed hand gestures on camera couldn't escape Turkish police
On September 12, 2025, security cameras captured the thefts from three different businesses in the Kurtuluş neighborhood of İskenderun, captured on camera. The brazen thief, who went through each business one by one , also filmed the burglar making a hand gesture on the security camera. Police officers identified three of the suspects as children and two as KGK and BY, and detained them.
Along with the individuals, 14 mobile phones, USB cables and various food items were seized.
Following the procedures at the police station, KGK, who made a hand gesture for the cameras, was arrested by the judicial authorities and sent to prison, while BY was released on probation.
