There's never been a train like this before. We'll go straight to Copenhagen.

From Prague to Copenhagen on a direct train? Thanks to the efforts of Deutsche Bahn, Danish Railways, and Czech Railways, this will soon be possible. The train on this long route through three European countries is scheduled to depart on May 1, 2026. The train will run daily in both directions, and the journey from the Czech capital to Denmark is expected to take approximately eleven hours. The Comfortjet train will feature, among other things, a dining car and a children's cinema.
By train from the Czech Republic to DenmarkTraveling to Copenhagen doesn't have to mean buying a plane ticket. Currently, there's a night train from Hamburg to the Danish capital, and its route will soon be extended to Berlin, Dresden, and Prague. Starting May 1, 2026, passengers will be able to travel daily through three European countries, traveling from the center of the Czech capital to the north of the continent in just 11 hours. "The route will be served by new ComfortJet trains from ČD, which offer a wide range of amenities, including an on-board restaurant, Wi-Fi, bicycle storage, and space for 555 passengers," writes Euronews.
More international trains coming soonEuropeans will soon have even more such connections at their disposal. "Rails are increasingly bringing European countries closer together. Interest in international travel is unwavering, even despite the longer travel time compared to flights," says Michael Peterson, DB's board member for long-distance passenger transport. The train from Prague to Copenhagen is just one of ten pilot projects selected by the European Commission to improve mobility.
In recent months , a direct train connection between Berlin and Paris has been launched. Plans also include launching a train from Munich to Rome via Milan.
