Aquapark with a slope on the roof. Polish health resort builds a unique attraction

"Aqua Krynica" is another water park on the map of Poland. The attraction, which will soon be located in one of the most popular Polish health resorts, will stand out from similar facilities. All thanks to a surprise that will await guests on the roof of the water park. This is where, according to the plans, there will be a year-round ski slope - the only one of its kind in the entire country. "Currently, the investor is at the stage of preparing an application for an environmental decision," says the mayor of Krynica-Zdrój, Piotr Ryba, in an interview with the Nasze Miasto portal.

A new water park in a Polish health resort

Tourists visiting Krynica-Zdrój cannot complain about a lack of excitement. Recently, some attractions were opened in the famous Małopolska health resort on Parkowa Mountain , and now the latest announcements already mention further projects. Officials believe that the only thing missing from the tourist offer of the town is a water park, so the construction of an aqua park will be the next challenge for the city. The facility is to be built in the Czarny Potok housing estate and combine a hotel, ski slope and aqua park in one. Up to 1,500 people will be able to have fun here at the same time, and the space will be publicly available - so it is not only hotel guests who will benefit from the swimming pool and slides.

The only place of its kind in Poland

Currently, the investor is waiting for an environmental decision. After obtaining the necessary permits and starting the work, it will definitely take a few years to see the effects. It is already known that the new attraction will definitely be a tourist hit. The planned ski slope will be located on the roof of the aquapark, which makes it the only such place in Poland. It will be a year-round facility. "For us as a private investor, the profitability of this business is important. Along with the aquapark, a hotel with several hundred rooms will be built, while the aquapark is a facility with significantly greater parameters than the needs of a hotel facility," says Michał Tokarz, representative of the "Aqua Krynica" company.
