A Spaniard moves to a major city in Morocco and is surprised by the treatment he receives.

Moving to another country often means facing the stereotypes surrounding our nationality in our destination. This is what happened to a Spanish influencer , who shared his experience after living in one of Morocco's largest cities for more than six months. The young man wanted to share a different perspective on migration based on his personal experiences.
Known as Medinhouse on social media, he has shared on his TikTok profile with his community of more than 5,000 followers about his neighbors' reaction after learning he is Spanish.
Warm and friendly atmosphereThe content creator assures that from the moment he arrived in this African city, he has witnessed the great kindness and courtesy shown by the nationals to the citizens who come from Spain. "You have no idea. Being in Morocco and saying I'm Spanish, it feels like I'm their brother and they've known me all their lives, " the influencer happily expresses in the middle of the video.
Similarly, he maintains that the cordial treatment he has received in Morocco has always been marked by gestures of affection. "You have no idea how many smiles you get when you say you're Spanish in this country," Medinhouse stated.
A relationship marked by sportThe Spaniard explains that the basis for these positive attitudes between Spaniards and African nationals comes from the passion both countries share for football.
In Morocco, there's a significant following of Spanish teams, and from there, a great atmosphere of socializing develops with its citizens. "All because they've been watching Real Madrid and Barça since they were kids. I've never said 'Hala Madrid' and 'Visca el Barça' so much," the influencer maintains.
Towards a kinder societyAmid the backdrop of the recent riots at Torre Pacheco, the content creator concludes the video by reflecting on how to welcome people from other parts of the world who arrive in the country.
He asks for respect and encourages everyone to be treated kindly, just as he has received throughout his stay in Morocco. "It's a beautiful thing to see how much they love us. Let's try to love them the way they love us, please," Medinhouse concludes.
