Family meals are well seasoned at the Roellingers'! On flat oysters, a pinch of their Poivre des Mondes, with grilled salt meadow lamb chops, a mixed vegetable dish to which the Poudre Grande Caravane brings notes of cardamom, fenugreek and cinnamon. All dishes are matched. Not forgetting dessert, a mille-feuille or a strawberry tart from the Grain de Vanille pastry shop "because we couldn't do better," jokes Mathilde, who gave up her career as a lawyer to take over the spice business (1) started by her father. "I define myself as a grocer in the strict sense. I go looking for spices on the other side of the world like aromatic herbs near my home. I taste, I select the products to check the quality and especially to blend them."
