See Niagara Falls from new perspectives

See Niagara Falls from new perspectives

Niagara Falls is getting a makeover with attractions that differ from the flashy attractions often associated with the destination. Two new experiences have definitely enhanced the tourist offerings, and several restaurants have been updated, so you can now eat very well!

Open to visitors since 2021, the Niagara Power Station has been offering a new experience since last summer, providing a completely different perspective of the falls and allowing us to better grasp their power.

In fact, you can now explore in the evening the very first power plant to have been built on the Canadian side and to harness the power of the river.

We first enter the main generator room, where every corner tells the story of how the power station, completed in 1905, was excavated, and where a sound and light projection explains the history of the transformation of water into energy.

A glass elevator then allows you to admire the turbines that were driven by the power of the water. This is certainly where the experience takes on its full meaning, and upon arriving 60 m below.

We then travel through an immense century-old tunnel, 670 m long, which was dynamited and shaped at the beginning of the last century, in order to evacuate the water from the river which supplied the power station by turning the turbines of Canadian Niagara Power.

LED lighting effects adorn the tunnel, projected archive images and sound effects allow you to discover this part of history, before enjoying a new view below of the falls from an observation platform.

Truly breathtaking, especially with the illuminated falls as a backdrop. An experience, in my opinion, that is definitely preferable to the one put forward by Journey Behind the Falls .

Sensory overview of the falls

Starting August 29, we will see the arrival of an immersive attraction at the famous Table Rock. The Niagara Takes Flight experience. will take place in the heart of a flying theatre, the very first in Ontario.

Suspended gondola-style seats surrounded by a massive 180-degree curved screen will invite visitors to soar over the region's most iconic landscapes and get closer than ever to Niagara Falls.

We're promised a breathtaking flight over 56 km of swirling parklands and rapids, along sheer cliffs and lush forests, and past historic battlegrounds that changed the course of history.

Equipped with cutting-edge technology, this attraction is one to watch and will undoubtedly delight visitors who cannot afford a helicopter ride.

Table Rock House Restaurant

Niagara Falls Parks

This is a new and wonderful initiative to showcase seasonal cuisine from local farms. The view from the restaurant on the edge of Horseshoe Falls is still breathtaking, but the gastronomy has become more refined! The quality and freshness of the dishes are surprising for such a touristy spot. A fine selection of Ontario and Canadian wines.

An original and successful all-you-can-eat Italian cuisine formula: excellent appetizers, fresh pasta, the chef's secondi creations, and salads. A lovely atmosphere with a pianist.
