This is the word you should never say on a cruise ship: "There was a deathly silence."

A TikToker has revealed the word we should never say on a cruise ship , at least in front of the onboard staff, as reported by the Daily Mail .
Marc Sebastian, who has 1.9 million followers on the Chinese-based short-video platform, revealed what happened during a trip last year when he made an innocent comment during lunch.
The TikToker said his comment caused "dead silence," and revealed that he simply commented that the ocean liner they were on was only "100 feet (30 meters) longer than the Titanic ."
According to Sebastian, the employees' faces changed when they heard the mention of the legendary ocean liner: "You're not supposed to talk about the Titanic . Who would have thought that? Not me!" he said.
Sebastian explained, describing the moment he mentioned the historic ship that sank in 1912: "Cutlery fell, waiters gasped... there was a deathly silence."
The TikToker revealed that his partner, Nadine, told him, "You're not allowed to talk about that." In the comments, some followers confirmed the story: "When I went on a cruise, my mom told me that saying Titanic was the equivalent of yelling 'bomb' at an airport."
