The project, which took more than six months to complete and a year to plan, was carried out without interrupting the lounge's 24-hour operation. The renovation included improvements to lighting, furnishings, and the layout of the space, all aimed at optimizing the user experience.
Among the new features are translucent metal partitions inspired by the design of the Santiago, Chile hall, a copper curtain crafted by Colombian artist Lizarazo, and lamps woven from iraca palm by local artisans . In addition, a 400-kilogram metal structure was installed in the buffet area, and 70 percent of the furniture was replaced using recycled materials.
The food service was updated with a rotating menu of typical Colombian dishes, such as calentado, carne con salsa cartagenera, aborrajados, and volcán de arequipe, which changes every two weeks. A dedicated area for Colombian coffee was also added, with brews available during peak hours.
